I was born during a 1st quarter moon like the one we had yesterday, the time when the tension between the new and the full moon breaks open into the crisis of creation. the time to make decisions, the time to actualize the vision, the time to shape the change that came and is to come. it’s a tender time of failed attempts, a time of demanding response-abilities.
an external or structural catalyst comes along and changes everything by requiring the energy of moving through chaos into power. there’s a feeling of always being half way there; halfway full, halfway empty, halfway complete, halfway materialized. between the past and the future, between the future and the present, between the primordial and the imagined.
being an embodiment of these gifts and challenges is part of why astrology for apocalypse is a natural orientation for me. I know we are in the chaos of trying to create new realities and structures. there’s a part of me that shines in a crisis; the part that knows what to do, how to do it, and why it needs to be done. I’m am extraordinarily familiar with what it feels like to be in constant uncovering that require my full attention.
the 1st quarter moon is like the moment in birth where you have to decide to push. is what we have no other choice but to do still a decision? that liminal space between primordial instinct and rational deliberation becomes available here, bringing all the stretching that superpowers disguised as conflicting needs necessitate.
