in the poetic protocol for scorpio season I wrote in response to the question: what if there is no justice?
I’ve been binge watching Game of Thrones while I pack my belongings (and live in the planetary squares I shared about in previous posts) for a move that has been in motion for a long time. I noticed that Daenerys’s story is a great example of how cancel/carceral culture ultimately doesn’t work. righteous justice that uses the same methods of punitive justice is just another face of rage. at some point, the rage will boil over. her inability to process grief made her principles fragile and her rage dangerous. the same can be said for all of us. this is why grief literacy is fundamental to my work. we need to befriend or at least strategize around grief or it destroys us and our communities.
I want to help people strategize with their sacred sovereignty, not from the places of fear and grief that they don’t even realize are running the show.

I also wrote about the medicine of Medusa in relationship to this, because the lunar eclipse on Friday is conjunct the fixed star Algol, located in the constellation of Her head. we are being invited to acknowledge harm and violation, and honor it by creating new ways of being that reduce harm to ourselves and others. as I am always saying to querents, the only justice you may ever get is that of a regulated nervous system. the rest is out of your control. eclipses are one of the strongest planetary reminders of what is outside of our control.
