Mars being in Taurus is so important because Taurus is ruled by Venus...currently retrograde. Also now Mercury, our communications processes, is in Taurus too & going retrograde this Sunday (April 9). So much of how we relate, affirm & appoint value, & interact is coming under a microscope. Taurus is earthy, leisurely, sentimental, & delicate. Thus why they need so much grounding=security. It keeps Taurus sane. It keeps us all sane.
Nostalgia is going to be even more potent than it has been with Venus retro. We navigate this with knowing what does ground us & WHY. So no, superficial self care (focus on the external without internal) is not going to offer the best comfort right now, though it is super important.
We need to know what we care about, what feeds us, & why. Because we need tender *living care. Because it matters.
I heard someone say "because it matters" recently, after they had listed what they do to make money. It resonated so deeply & is super anti-capitalistic, through my social justice lens. What do you do & does it matter, to you? And is that enough? Such Taurean questions...we have to ask ourselves. We have to treat everything as if it's important sometimes. Just for a little. So we can figure out what's not. If the meaning you give something is not enough for it to continue working or for you to continue working for it, then maybe nah...
That's how Taurus stays sustainable, self assured, & down to earth. (Literally, get in the earth. It's spring/remember you're human. Swift cure for overwhelm sometimes). Which they need to be so they can BE IN THE MOMENT. Be present. Taurus can get shit done like any earth sign, but at it's roots is about THRIVING. Sometimes we think we have to EARN and WORK and SACRIFICE to thrive (capitalism), but I contest that.
This is accessible to any cash class, even poor people like me. What feels good, what doesn't? This doesn't mean quit your job or fuck everything, but what future/version of you/feelings/experiences/time do you want to INVEST into? I hope the answer is: yourself. That's where we water the seeds that grow into thriving, fully bloomed versions of our essence.
*This is why I used living instead of loving. Because we need an active relationship to ourselves that keeps us ALIVE. Survival is real. Scarcity mindset it real. And with Venus retro, Mercury getting ready to join, & Mars aggravating our basic needs/cravings for love to get met, returning to ourselves might be the way out & up. Remembering that we are saltwater & stars & so fucking human. So it's okay.
